We recently took Maks for a check-up with his surgeons. They had not seen him in 3 months. They were so surprised by his progress. From our previous appointments we had understood them to think he would need two separate surgeries, one to correct the omphalocele and one to close his abdominal wall. After our last visit.......they now only predict one surgery later on to remove scar tissue and create him a belly button. That was amazing news to us and such a blessing! All our little man has to do is keep growing and getting stronger. Maks turned 7 months old on February 5th. He is rolling over and starting to sit up on his own. his favorite word is DaDa.....which does not make his MaMa very happy! He loves all baby food and is warming up to juice. He is such a happy, pleasant baby. God is continuing to answer our prayers!
